Coach Tyler Luby found CrossFit in 2013 while preparing for his career as a U.S. Marine Corps officer—and he’s never looked back. With a background in competitive swimming, sprinting, and amateur boxing, Tyler brings elite-level focus and well-rounded athleticism to every class he coaches.
He earned his degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Pittsburgh, where he coached and served as an officer for the Panther CrossFit Club. Since then, he’s served 7 years on active duty in the Marines and currently holds the rank of Captain in the Marine Corps Reserves.
Tyler believes CrossFit is more than a workout—it’s preventative maintenance for your body, just like upkeep on a high-performance machine. His goal is to help you train smarter, stay healthier, and live stronger, longer.
‍
Tyler competed in Pittsburgh’s Golden Gloves as an amateur boxer and has a deep appreciation for all things fast, powerful, and high-performance—especially when it comes to the human body.
‍
Tyler brings precision, intensity, and encouragement to every session. Whether you’re brand new to fitness or a seasoned athlete, he meets you with professionalism and purpose—and makes sure you leave feeling like a better version of yourself.
